Founding Engineer production Rust + AWS, end-to-end

• Major contributor to the TypeScript → Rust migration of the entire backend (Poem framework), serving the same workload on 50% fewer EC2/Beanstalk instances.
• Integrated casino and sportsbook suppliers end to end in Rust (schema → API → settlement, including rollbacks) and shipped KYC/KYT + geofencing for regulated jurisdictions.
• Migrated authentication to Privy for unified Web3 SSO, and integrated Relay for cross-chain deposits and Unifold for card on-ramp, so users can fund accounts from any chain or card.
• Built and own the AWS estate in Terraform (isolated dev/prod accounts, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, PgBouncer, ElastiCache, Fireblocks Nitro cosigners, Cloudflare mTLS, OIDC-based CI) and migrated the platform off Heroku.
• Owned production security and reliability for a real-money platform: keyless SSO/OIDC access with no SSH, least-privilege CI for Terraform, and paging tuned to real incidents.
• Drove ~30% AWS cost reduction across the account; cut the Rust test suite ~3x with Postgres template-DB cloning and mocked feature flags; introduced k6 load testing and CloudWatch alerting.
• Built the MLOps platform: SageMaker training/promotion pipelines fired from GitHub Actions, AWS Glue ETL to S3 parquet, and a production FastAPI inference service.

DevOps Engineer Kubernetes on bare metal
